Window and door installation in Toronto
Toronto is the hardest window market in the GTA to work in, and that is exactly why experience matters here. Century-home openings that are not square, semi-detached party walls, laneway access and heritage streetscapes are routine for us.
Toronto homes rarely give you a square opening
Knowing what is behind the trim before we open it up is what keeps a quote accurate and a job on schedule. Here is what we typically find across Toronto.
Pre-war brick semis and Victorians
Openings that have moved over a century, original wood frames, arched and segmental heads, and interior trim profiles that are no longer manufactured. Every unit is a custom size. Nothing here is off the shelf.
1950s–60s bungalows and side-splits
Large, consistent housing stock where whole-house replacement is straightforward and fast. This is where our one-week turnaround shows best.
Post-war detached and 1970s infill
A mix of original steel-frame and early aluminum units. Frame removal takes longer than the install, and skipping that care is how brick gets damaged.
Narrow lots, tight access
No driveway, no side access, street parking only. We plan material handling at the measure, because discovering it on install day is how a one-day job becomes three.
Semi-detached brick
Party-wall semis need care at the shared edge. Vibration and dust control matter when your neighbour is on the other side of that wall.
Conservation districts
Some Toronto streets have restrictions on what can be changed on the street-facing elevation. We flag it at the measure — better to know before you order.
Everything on the outside of the house, one crew
Windows, entrance doors, patio doors, garage doors, shutters and the finishing work around all of it — quoted together and installed by the same team.

Questions from Toronto homeowners
Can you handle a century home with non-standard openings?
Yes — every unit is custom-sized to the measured opening, which is exactly what a century home needs. We measure each opening individually rather than assuming a repeated size, because in a pre-war Toronto house no two are the same.
My house is in a heritage conservation district. Can I still replace my windows?
Possibly, but there may be restrictions on the street-facing elevation. We flag heritage considerations at the measure and will tell you to check with the City before ordering rather than after.
There is no driveway and parking is a nightmare. Is that a problem?
It is a logistics question, not a dealbreaker. We plan material handling and parking at the measure. Narrow lots and street-only access are normal in the old city and we work in them constantly.
I am in a semi-detached. Will this affect my neighbour?
We work carefully at the party wall and keep dust and vibration down. Most semi jobs are done in a day per side. If your neighbour is replacing at the same time, tell us — doing both together is faster and cheaper for both of you.
