Questions from Markham homeowners
My home is in heritage Unionville. Are there restrictions?
There may be, particularly on street-facing elevations. We raise heritage considerations at the measure and will tell you to confirm with the City before ordering. It is a short conversation that avoids an expensive mistake.
My sealed units are fogging. Does the whole window need replacing?
Fogging means the seal between the panes has failed and the gas fill is gone. In some cases the sealed unit alone can be replaced; in others, particularly on older builder-grade frames, replacing the full unit makes more sense. We will tell you honestly which applies rather than defaulting to the bigger job.
I am in Cornell with a rear laneway and no front driveway. Is that workable?
Yes, it just needs planning. We confirm material handling and parking at the measure. New urbanist layouts are common across Cornell and Berczy and we work in them regularly.
Do you do patio doors and entrance doors as well as windows?
Yes, and on newer Markham homes that is often the whole project. Patio doors come from Vista and entrance doors from Seal Tech, both built in Concord.
